Product Details.
8 or 18 count vaginal inserts containing 4 mcg or 10 mcg estradiol.
Estradiol vaginal insert is used after menopause to treat moderate to severe painful intercourse, a symptom of changes in and around your vagina, due to menopause.
What to Expect.
You may feel some relief from your symptoms within twelve weeks of starting treatment.
Safety Information.
Using estrogen-alone may increase your chance of getting cancer of the uterus (womb), strokes, blood clots and dementia. Report any unusual vaginal bleeding right away. Vaginal bleeding after menopause may be a warning sign of cancer of the uterus (womb). Your healthcare provider should check any unusual vaginal bleeding to find out the cause. IMVEXXY is only for use in the vagina. Do not take IMVEXXY by mouth (orally).
If you have a uterus, talk to your healthcare provider about whether the addition of a progestogen is right for you. In general, the addition of a progestogen is generally recommended for a woman with a uterus to reduce the chance of getting cancer of the uterus (womb).
