Estradiol Patch, Continuous Delivery (Once-Weekly) by Mylan is a once-weekly transdermal estrogen therapy designed to continuously deliver estradiol through the skin over 7 days. It is the generic equivalent of Climara® and is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause, vulvar and vaginal atrophy due to menopause, hypoestrogenism, and prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis. The once-weekly transdermal patch continuously delivers estradiol through the skin over seven days and is designed for convenient once-weekly application. The patch should be applied to a clean, dry area of the lower abdomen or upper buttock and replaced every 7 days. Do not apply the patch to the breasts. Application sites should be rotated, allowing at least one week before reusing the same site.

You may begin to notice improvement in menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats within several weeks after starting treatment.
