Product Details

Estradiol patch is used after menopause to reduce moderate to severe hot flashes and for the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis. When prescribing solely for the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis, first consider the use of non-estrogen medications. Consider estrogen therapy only for women at significant risk of osteoporosis. You and your healthcare provider should talk regularly about whether you should continue treatment with the estradiol patch.
This is the authorized generic of Minivelle. It is identical to the brand-name product in formulation, size, and adhesive system. It offers greater consistency in tolerability and absorption compared to generics from other manufacturers. Like branded Minivelle, it is applied twice weekly on the same dosing schedule.

What to Expect

You may feel some relief from your symptoms within four weeks after starting treatment.
